As we welcome the birth of our firstborn, we wanted to set our hearts in the thruth that stepping into parenthood meant treasuring the gift God as given. Yet as wekk-intentioned as we may be, we shall always fall short, and need the Father, help in the entrustment of raising a child.
"Our Precious Jewel" isa short poem that looks at these thruths to first remind our children of their God-given worth.
And second, to remind ourselves, of this weighty responsibility and liberating hope: that to parent well is to first be His ever-dependent child.
